In evaluating students and awarding scholarships, the Foundation will consider whether the student:

​

• intends to attend a post-graduate educational program – either a skills/trade school or two or four-year college program;
   

• is a Freeport High School student and Maine resident;
   

• faces significant challenges and obstacles in the pursuit of post-secondary education;
   

• demonstrates exceptional financial need;
   

• makes a difference in the lives of others and that of their community;
   

• is a solid school citizen;
   

• has made a positive contribution to the school environment and/or extra-curricular activities;
   

• has the potential to make a difference in the world; and,

 

• demonstrates satisfactory academic progress in the program in which they are enrolled.
